Description: The German Institute of Global and Area Studies (GIGA) is the largest German and one of the largest European research institutes of area studies and comparative area studies. The Journal of Current Chinese Affairs - China Data Supplement offers information on any change within the political leadership of the People's Republic of China (PRC) from the provincial level upwards, and of Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan. It also provides concise biographical information on newly appointed PRC officials and detailed information on new laws and regulations and on agreements between the PRC and other countries or international organizations.
