Description: In 2006, Nato took on one of its biggest challenges in terms of its future role by extending the ISAF mission to cover the entire country. There was no shortage of difficulties ranging from the violent battles with the Talebans in the Southern provinces near Pakistan to the growing threat posed by suicide attacks and ever more sophisticated explosive traps. These terrorist tactics seem to have been “copied” from Iraq.
