Description: This conference report provides a thematic overview of all the presentations given at the 7th International Security Forum (ISF), held from 26 to 28 October 2006 in Zurich, Switzerland. All keynote speeches are reproduced in their full length. The editors also provide summaries of all additional speeches given in the various topic sessions and workshops. The conference speakers use a multilateral and interdisciplinary approach to focus on security issues in the post-Cold War world, and cover a wide range of topics, among them the future of trans-Atlantic relations, the consolidation of the OSCE, the political future of Kosovo, the development of information operations, the challenges of post-conflict peacebuilding, and the regulation of private military and security companies.
